It can be from Beef TAllow or Lard.If it is from Lard,
then it is Haram,if it is from Beef TAllow,then the
animal must have been slaughtered according to Islam
in order for it to be Halal,otherwise it is Haram.
**Rennet/Pepsin
Rennet is a milk coagulant that is the concentrated
extract of Renin enzyme obtained from a calves stomach
(Calf Rennet)or an adult bovine stomach(Bovine Rennet).
Pepsin is a milk coagulating enzyme found in pig's
stomach.
***Whey & Whey Solids
The portion of mild remaining after coagulation by an
acid or Rennet(Swine,Bovvine or Microbial)and the
removal of curd. Whey is used as a source of lactose,
milk solid & whey protein.Whey solids are the solid
fraction of whey.
